Project scope:

‘Together on Independence Day,’ a vibrant event hosted by the Foreign Communities of Alba Association, bringing Scottish and Polish communities together. Around Polish Independence Day. This memorable day featured a traditional bonfire, authentic Polish food, engaging talks on Poland’s rich history, an exciting outdoor compass-navigation game with rewards, and lively Ceilidh dancing. With activities for all ages and a shared spirit of unity, we honored independence in a way that fosters understanding and friendship between our communities.

Project outcome:

We hosted around 150 people on the event. We have received a lot of positive feedback, just to quote:

I would like to thank you for organizing the event for Independence Day. Together with my family, we had the opportunity to sing patriotic songs, listen to interesting information about our soldiers from World War II, and participate in field games, where our children gained valuable knowledge. If such an event takes place in the future, we will definitely be happy to participate and encourage our friends to join as well.

Hello, I wanted to thank you once again for such a wonderful event, “Together for Independence Day.” It was a fantastic idea to bring Polish families together, and at the same time, a learning experience for our kids through fun activities. The organization was excellent (songbooks, flags, food, prizes) – everything was perfectly arranged, and I was truly impressed. We had a great time enjoying the festivities together, singing around the campfire, listening to fascinating historical stories, dancing, and of course, the field game – it was fantastic.
